Delhi records coldest December day in over a century

People are amazed over the severe cold that has recorded a minimum temperature of 3-degree Celsius in new Delhi. Many parts of the country are even colder than the hills. The snow has covered most of the hilly regions in the country. The IMD has issued a red alert in the capital and predicted three-day rain from January 1, 2019.

Expected rain in western parts of Delhi, says IMD

A day after fogged out Delhi recorded the coldest day in 119 years, the numbing cold continues to sweep through Delhi-NCR on December 31. The minimum temperature at 8 am was 5 degrees Celsius in Delhi as fog blanketed several parts of the city. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), rain is likely to lash eastern and western parts of the state on Tuesday and January 1, 2020.

Top layer of Dal Lake freeze due to intense cold
