2 CPI workers killed, 8 injured in bus accident

Two CPI workers were killed and eight others injured, two of them seriously, when a bus carrying CPI activists overturned and rolled down into a roadside ditch near Sanki-Madhegama village.

Darbhanga: Two CPI workers were killed and eight others injured, two of them seriously, when a bus carrying CPI activists overturned and rolled down into a roadside ditch near Sanki-Madhegama village under Sadar police station area of Bihar`s Darbhanga district on Thursday, police said.
Nearly 700 CPI workers were coming on bus from Sanki-madhegama village to Darbhanga district headquarter for a dharna to demand the state government to declare the district a drought-hit area. The bus overturned as the driver lost control over it and it fell into a roadside ditch killing two persons on the spot, Station House Officer (SHO) of Sadar police station Rashid Pervez said. Those killed were identified as Shivji Shah and Mahavir Sada of the same district and their bodies were sent to sadar hospital for post-mortem examination. The injured persons have been sent to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital for treatment, Pervez added. PTI
