Kharsia: Launching a vicious attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a rally here in Chhattisgarh told the people that state could only progress if the incumbent Raman Singh government is thrown out of power.

Attacking the BJP government, Rahul said that Chhattisgarh is not poor, but a rich state and alleged that the people’s money is being looted by the ruling party.

Heaping praise on state Congress chief, the Congress vice president said, “When I first met Nandkumar Patel I realised instantly that he was a people`s man and will one day be the CM of Chhattisgarh.”

“I don’t want one Nandkumar Patel, but 500 of those,” Rahul asserted.

Rahul also tried to win over the electorates by highlighting the Food Security Bill passed by his government earlier this year. “We want to give you power,” the Gandhi scion told the gathering.

Further trying to hit the Raman Singh government, Rahul said that people in Chhattisgarh are suffering daily.
