London: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver put their personal differences aside to support their teenaged son at his graduation from high school.
The proud parents watched as Patrick received his diploma on Friday.
Arnold and Maria posed up for pictures with their teen and smiled broadly at his achievements.
Maria looked elegant in a simple black dress but was sensible enough to sport flat footwear so that she didn’t teeter in heels on the grass.
Meanwhile, the former governor of California looked dapper in a grey suit, which matched the goatee, he has been sporting of late.
Patrick was surrounded by friends and family for the occasion and his sister Katherine proudly posted photos of her younger brother on her Twitter page.
The 18-year-old was spotted sporting a traditional cap and gown as he cuddled up to his siblings Katherine, Christina and Christopher.
Patrick was clearly feeling nostalgic once the excitement of the ceremony was over.
“Just graduated high school!! So crazy. Can’t believe this is all over,” the Daily Mail quoted him as tweeting.
And he apparently even enjoyed a celebration afterwards, which left him with mixed feelings.
“Just had a graduation party, all the CHP officers that worked with my dad came over and hung out with me. nice to see everyone #Bittersweet,” he tweeted.
Patrick is one of four children of Arnold and his now-estranged wife Maria.
The bodybuilder, actor and politician had married the niece of President John F. Kennedy in 1986 and the pair split last year after 25 years of marriage.
It was then revealed that the parting of ways came after Maria learned that Arnold had fathered a son fourteen years earlier with the couple’s housekeeper.
