Pooja Chopra eager to act with Rajinikanth

Miss India World 2009 Pooja Chopra, who made her acting debut through Tamil flick `Ponnar Shankar`, has said she is very eager to act with superstar Rajinikanth.

Vadodara: Miss India World 2009 Pooja Chopra, who made her acting debut through Tamil flick `Ponnar Shankar`, has said she is very eager to act with superstar Rajinikanth.
"Who would not prefer to act with this greatest superstar? It is a dream for everybody and though I am a Punjabi girl, I dream of acting with him," Chopra told reporters.
"He (Rajinikanth) is highly respected and nobody calls him by his name, he is addressed only as a superstar," she said on the sidelines of inaugurating Richfeel Trichology`s fourth Center here. She plays the role of a princess against Tamil actor Prashanth in `Ponnar Shankar`, scripted by former Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi and directed by Thiagarajan. "He (Karunanidhi) was a scriptwright and producer. As I liked the script, I decided to act in this movie. Prior to this, I had acted in some Dabur Honey advertisements," she said. When asked about her experience playing a princess in the Rs 60 crore-budget movie, Chopra said, "I was thrilled that I was donning the role of a princess in a Tamil film. Being a girl from Punjab, I was a bit scared. But Jayaram, Kushboo and Sneha were like a family and made me feel comfortable." "I had no difficulty in speaking Tamil as I used to work hard to prepare for dialoguess given on paper," said Chopra, who was number 28 on the Times-50 most beautiful women list. Chopra said hers was a close-knit family of three, comprising her sister and mother. The actor, who was brought up in Pune, gave credit to her mother for the right upbringing of herself and her elder sibling. After making an impression in the Tamil flick, offers from Bollywood is a forgone conclusion for Pooja who said that after becoming a celebrity, Bollywood is the only place to "settle down". She appealed upcoming models to take care of their hair by visiting trichology centers. Meanwhile, trichologist Nehal Kothari, associated with Richfeel Health & Beauty said on the occasion that it wanted to open centers in cities of Jamnagar, Bhavnagar and Mehsana in the near future. PTI
