Amazon measured up to the competition with its signature Kindle Fire HD tablets last year. It looks like the retail giant has a few more tricks up its sleeves.

Recent benchmark results suggest that the Kindle maker is gearing up to take the next step in its tablet series. Device “Amazon KFAPWA”, which could be a 7-inch tablet running on Adreno 330 GPU, indicating a Snapdragon 800 SoC under the hood, surfaced recently.

Another device, “Amazon KHTHWI”, speculated to be the next iteration in the 8.9-inch version, was also spotted.
