New York: Michael Douglas forgot to mention jailed son Cameron’s name in his acceptance speech at the Film Society of Lincoln Center`s 37th annual Chaplin Award ceremony. A-listers of the likes of Danny DeVito, Jimmy Buffett and Bette Midler felicitated the actor, whose son Cameron’s absence was conspicuous at the event at Alice Tully Hall.
"No one could shake the feeling that what Michael had gone through with his son was still omnipresent. It definitely had an impact on the evening," the New York Daily News quoted an insider as saying. However, Douglas forget to mention Cameron while he profusely thanked his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones - calling her "Cathy" - and their two children, Dylan and Carys, during his acceptance speech. "It struck the audience as a little odd,” said the source. ANI
