New Delhi: Nokia is definitely connecting with is customers once again as it’s effort to revive itself in the Smartphone market in collaboration with Microsoft for Windows operating system appears to be paying off.
According to a Windows Phone report by AdDuplex for November 2013, Nokia is the leader of Windows Phone market in India and in the world as well.
And interestingly, the Nokia Lumia 520 - the youngest of all the Lumia phones in the market - is the leading Windows Phone in India and in the world.
According to the report by AdDuplex for November 2013, Nokia Lumia 520 is the most popular Windows Phone occupying 43.3 percent of the market share in the Windows Phone market in India.
Lumia 520 is followed by Lumia 720 with 12.7 percent and Lumia 620 with 9.3 percent in the second and third place respectively.
Globally, Lumia 520 is also the most popular Windows Phone with a share of 26.5 percent in the market.
The report by AdDuplex also showed that Nokia occupied 90 percent of the Windows Phone market in the world followed by HTC with 7.0 percent, Samsung with 1.8 percent and Huawei with 1.3 percent.
The Finnish mobile handset maker, now already sold to Microsoft, was once the ruler in the market until BlackBerry came along; then came Apple and Samsung, the ultimate rulers in the Smartphone market till now.
To keep up with the competition, Nokia collaborated with Microsoft to launch the Windows phones and the effort appears to be paying off.
