New Dehli: Chinese tech giant Xiaomi on Thursday launched Qicycle, a foldable electric smart bike at an event in China.

Known as the Qicycle Electric Folding Bike, the Xiaomi Mi Smart Bike has been priced at CNY 2,999 which approximately converts to Rs 30,000.

Right now, it is available only in China with no words on its availability other parts of the world.

The Qicycle Electric Folding Bike is made of carbon fibre and weighs just 14.5 kilograms.

 

Being foldable, it also easily fits into the trunk of a car without occupying much space.

Being a smart bike, the Qicycle can also also measure different data points, such as the distance of the current trip or the overall distance covered, mileage, heat consumption, and battery percentage.

The Qicycle is also powered by a huge Panasonic lithium 18650 mAh battery, a driving motor and 3-speed transmission.

On a single full charge, the Qicycle can travel up to 40-50 kilometres. Moreover, to help avoid accidents it is equipped with smart motion-sensing technology.

It also comes with an app that logs your distance, speed, GPS location, calories burned, and more.
