Macca furious over NASA’s animal testing

London: Animal-lover Paul McCartney is upset with experts at NASA for allegedly funding science experiments on monkeys.
‘The Beatles’ legend is urging the US space agency`s bosses to withdraw financial support for radiation testing conducted on spider monkeys. He has convinced NASA boffins to look for a more animal-friendly solution. "I believe NASA has the ingenuity to investigate the health effects of space travel without confining and experimenting on animals,” the Daily Star quoted him as telling NASA Administrator, Charles Bolden, in a letter. "It would be terribly disappointing if in our zeal to explore new frontiers and to learn about the fascinating universe where we live we began to regress in our treatment of the animals with whom we share this planet. May I appeal to you to cancel this experiment," he added. ANI
