Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian alive again, thanks to billionaire

Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian who gave up social networking until their fans raised USD 1 million for charity, are "alive" on Twitter.

Los Angeles: Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian who gave up social networking until their fans raised USD 1 million for charity, were "alive" on Twitter and Facebook after a billionaire pitched in USD 500,000 towards the goal.
After about a week of launching the campaign they still hadn`t reached their goal. So on Monday, pharmaceutical entrepreneur Stewart Rahr pitched in USD 500,000, The Hollywood Reporter said. "I`m back from the dead! Thank you all so much for your donations and contributions! I have missed u all so much," tweeted Kardashian, who can earn USD 10,000 per sponsored tweet. The proceeds go to Alicia Keys` Keep a Child Alive foundation charity and 3,600 people had donated. When the fund-raising effort was first announced, it was expected that the goal will be reached that in a short time since Gaga alone has more than 7.2 million followers on Twitter. "Although we never expected to raise USD 1 million overnight, we are completely blown away that we were able to achieve our goal in less than a week," the organization said in a statement. PTI
