Kolkata: Srei Infrastructure Finance on Thursday reported over 140 percent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 46.50 crore for the third quarter ended December 2012.
The infrastructure finance major had clocked a net profit of Rs 19.40 crore last year.
"There has been higher fee based income and better engagement with the clients which has led to higher profitability during the quarter in the stressed environment in the infrastructure sector," Srei chairman and managing director Hemant Kanoria said.
The consolidated total income stood at Rs 775.33 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 692.96 crore registered in the corresponding period 2011-12.
Disbursements during the third quarter period in 2012-13 was Rs 2,560 crore.
Kanoria said assets under management of the company was up 15 percent year-on-year at Rs 33,579 crore as on December 2012.
