Imran Khan and Avantika to tie the knot in Thailand

Mumbai: Bollywood heartthrob Imran Khan and his childhood sweetheart Avantika are all set to tie the knot in Thailand in January 2011, exactly one year after they got engaged. Even as the industry was rife with rumours of an early wedding, Imran had denied it. Apparently, Imran was too busy with his films and made it very clear that he will get married at a time when he will be free from his professional commitments. Buzz has it that Imran has now decided on a wedding date and has also finalised the venue. News has it that Imran and Avantika have zeroed in an exclusive grand resort somewhere near Koh Samui. Though the exact date is still not clear, the wedding will happen in January. Close family relatives and friends from Bollywood fraternity will fly out for the lavish wedding. It is believed that Imran has requested Karan Johar to alter his January dates for ‘Short Term Shaadi’ so that he can get married to his sweetheart. Imran and Avantika got engaged on 16th January 2010 at a farmhouse owned by his fiancée’s family in Karjat. The engagement was a family affair graced by the entire Khan clan - including Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao. Imran Khan`s upcoming releases include Aamir Khan`s ‘Delhi Belly’, YRF`s ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, Kunal Kohli`s ‘Break Ke Baad’ and Karan Johar`s ‘Short Term Shaadi’.
