Aamir Khan bats for Sachin

Kochi: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan today said ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar`s nomination to the Rajya Sabha was a `good selection`.

`I know Sachin to be a person of high integrity. He is an honest, straight forward person, sensible and intelligent and these are qualities I would like to see in a person who is being nominated to the Rajya sabha`, he told reporters here. `I think it is a good selection and having received the invitation he himself feels he has something to contribute,`he said when asked for his reaction to the government nominating the master blaster to the Upper House of Parliament. Tendulkar must have thought a great deal about it, the Three Idiots star said adding he was happy with the government`s decision. PTI
