Mumbai: Riding high on the success of his last two Box Office hits - ‘Wanted’ and ‘Dabangg’, Salman Khan is standing on the threshold of making a hat trick of sorts with his upcoming release ‘Ready’.
Yet, despite all the success and adulation, Salman doesn’t believe in labelling his accomplishments. In fact, the actor is completely oblivious of his raging success and has no starry airs.
Talking to a daily about his new media savvy image, Salman said, “Stardom and all is bakwaas. I am and always will be the same. The only thing that has probably changed in me is that I have learnt to say `No`.”
“Gone are the days when I used to make a film and say `chalta hai, sets pe dekh lenge, kuch bana denge` to friends who did not have a script. Give me a good script and I will do it,” explains the hunk of an actor.
Apparently, Salman has learnt to say `yes` to media for he is actively taking part in promotional activities of his latest film. Speaking about his media friendly avatar, Salman explains, “I am bakofying, and you are chapoying. It`s the release of my film. I am doing my job and you are doing yours. Solves the purpose for both of us.”
When prodded about his personal life, especially his meetings with ex-girlfriend Somy Ali, “Yes, I met her. She is my friend like many others. They come to my house doesn`t mean I am having an affair with them," reasoned the actor.
However, when it comes to business, Salman is still a novice. “I don`t want to understand the business. Sohail does and so does my father. It will probably take me five minutes but if I understand, I will spend hours every day thinking about it. I am happy this way,” said the actor before signing off.
