London: A new poll has revealed that a third of employees have taken a business call while they sat on the toilet at home.
Another large group, one in seven, admitted answering their work mobile while in bed with their partner or a date.
Others confessed they have taken calls while out horse-riding, in church, at the dentist’s, climbing a tree or on a boat on the Thames.
In the ICM poll for mobile services provider Gradwell, staff in their 50s and 60s were the guiltiest for answering the phone on the loo or in other inappropriate places – particularly men.
“There has to be a balance between being available to take important calls and understanding there are boundaries,” the Daily Express quoted Gradwell boss Peter Gradwell as saying.
“I’m sure most people would rather you call back than discover you’re in bed with your partner,” he added.
