Mumbai: Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan are probably the only two superstars who have an incredible fan following across the globe. In what looked like heights of devotion, 1008 diehard fans of the Tamil superstar had tonsured heads and held a 48 hour long fast at the Lord Murugan temple in Palani, Tamil Nadu to thank the almighty for saving their idol’s life. And to show his gratitude to his fans, Rajini is planning to pay a visit to the temple soon. Talking to reporters, a source close to the superstar said, “Rajini sir is feeling much better now. When he heard about these fans, he was overwhelmed by their gesture. He surely plans to go to the temple when he is fit enough to travel.” Rajini is all set to start shooting for `Rana` also starring Deepika Padukone. Filmmaker K S Ravikumar said, “I met Rajini Sir and our shooting will begin by October.” “It is a period film and there are a lot of logistics. This might end up being Rajinikanth`s most expensive film. Also, AR Rahman has finished composing four songs for the film and most probably they will resume shooting the song sequences first,” said a source.
