Amitabh Bachchan to jig with Peter Andre at the IIFA

Mumbai, May 25: Even as filmdom’s Khan czars look for ways and means to abandon this year’s IIFA grand bash, which is known more as a Bachchans’ family affair, the event seems to be getting bigger by the day. And while our desi machos are yet to give any confirmations about their reported performances, international big wigs are vying to set the stage ablaze, hoping to boogie with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan.In awe of Big B’s magnetism, international crooner Peter Andre has given his nod to perform at the event. Andre, who is currently amidst a messy divorce with his infamous wife Jordon, has reportedly given his nod to perform at the event. But besides Andre’s fervent performance, what adds glitz to the event is that Amitabh Bachchan might take centre stage and do a jig with him. Ever since Shah Rukh Khan reportedly refused to attend the event and Salman followed suit, insiders speculated of a lackluster event in store. However, with Andre and Amitabh getting in tow, the event seems to have gained its lost sheen. Confirming the news, a daily quoted a source as saying, "Peter has been confirmed by the IIFA officials and he will be belting out his biggest hits for the audiences. He is the star performer at the awards night. But rumour has it that Amitabh Bachchan might join him for a short jamming session. It will be quite a treat for the audiences if it happens." The singer is expected to sing out his hits like Only One, Lets Get It On, Flava, I Feel You and Insania among others. Well with the stalemate at the Box Office far from over, Idiot Box has become the thing to watch out for. And cheering on the star packed glitzy IPL finale, which saw the international big wigs crooning and dancing with Bollywood in tow to mark the end of this year’s season, couch potatoes seem to be in for yet another starry treat.
