Jessica Simpson`s father `thrilled` with her fiancé

London: Singer Jessica Simpson`s father Joe says he is overjoyed that his son-in-law-to-be, American footballer Eric Johnson, keeps his daughter happy.

Joe Simpson is also the singer`s manager. "I am thrilled. I love Eric. I think he`s such a great guy and most importantly he loves Jessica and makes her so happy. As a dad, all you want is for your daughter to be happy and she is. He makes her so happy and I love that. I could not be happier," Contactmusic quoted Joe as saying. "This is the happiest she`s been in her entire life. It`s so wonderful to see," he added. Now the father feels that the 30-year-old singer-actress will start writing more romantic songs. "She is in love and I know she will have so many love songs to write straight from the heart for her new record," he said. IANS
