Mumbai: Rahul Bhatt, who became famous post revelations about his involvement with 26/11 accused David Headley, now fears for his life. Which is why, he has sent an application to the Mumbai police to obtain a gun license.
Talking to a daily, a source from the police said, "Rahul visited all senior officers in the city`s western region to speed up the process, but the police department is taking extra care while clearing his file."
Son of controversial filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, Rahul is currently penning a tell-all which will supposedly reveal his detailed interaction with Headley.
“I am writing a book and then may make a film about my experience,” he said.
So the actor feels there is threat to his life from the underworld.
Expressing how he feels insecure, Rahul said, "I have got protection from the Mumbai police for some time now. Apart from my previous association with Headley, being the son of (filmmaker) Mahesh Bhatt, who is considered to be vocal about his views, makes me a soft target for anyone."
Rahul, who had participated in reality show `Bigg Boss`, feels he has been living an abnormal life ever since David Headley was found guilty of involvement in the terror attacks that hit the Indian financial capital in November 2008. His association with the US based terrorist (though he had little knowledge about Headley’s intentions) is now making people look at him with suspicion.
