Mumbai: Terming it as "bizarre", megastar Amitabh Bachchan feels cricketers who played against one other in the World Cup will now be playing together in a team in the soon to begin IPL tournament.
"In another couple of days all those who participated for their country shall now be pushing their energies and allegiance to their respective teams in the IPL. Those who played against each other shall now be playing for each other in the same team. This is such a bizarre situation," Big B wrote in his blog.
"Soon sentiments shall shift from national to personal teams representing different regions of the country. Rivals for the past month, team mates for the next," the blog read. Not stopping at cricketers, senior Bachchan also showed concerns for all the cricket fans who will have to quickly change their minds and pick a team to support in the IPL-4 tournament, set to begin from April 8. The actor further said a prominent author and thinker admitted that sports and film were the two most fertile ingredients in bringing a nation together. "Nothing could be truer. They always were and shall always be, a unifier!" Bachchan said. PTI
