Kal Penn, best known for his role in ‘Harold & Kumar’ flicks, is ditching his White House gig.

New York: Kal Penn, best known for his role in ‘Harold & Kumar’ flicks, is ditching his White House gig to appear in a new Christmas-themed flick as his signature stoner character, it has emerged.
It was after the 2008 elections that Penn, who also co-starred in the hit show "House," ditched Hollywood. In his job as associate director in the White House Office of Public Engagement, Penn has served as an Indian-American community liaison. However, on Friday, a weekly and other Hollywood trades reported that the 32-year-old actor- born Kalpen Modi and raised in Montclair, N.J. - was going back to his old life, reports a news daily. "Mr. Modi is honored to serve in this administration and has no announcements to make about his tenure here at this point," said White House spokesman Shin Inouye. ANI
