Anand Sharma to review industry related issues of southern states
New Delhi: Union Commerce, Industry and Textiles Minister Anand Sharma will leave for a two-day visit to Kerala Thursday during which he will review issues pertaining to Commerce, Industry and Textile in the southern states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh on Friday.
The review meeting is likely to be attended by the Industry Ministers of these states in Kovalam, Kerala. During the meeting with the Ministers of the states, Sharma is also likely to discuss issues related to plantation, textiles and manufacturing as well as the progress of various relevant schemes in these states.
Later in the day Friday, Sharma will meet Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to review the situation of industries and textiles sector of the state.
He will also present the Spice Export Awards for 2010-11 and 2011-12 at Kovalam later in the evening.
