Budding Bollywood actor Avantika gets threat calls

Mumbai: Budding Bollywood actor Avantika Kapoor has lodged a police complaint against an unidentified person for allegedly threatening her to withdraw from a movie in which she is playing the protagonist, police said.

The police also claimed that the phone numbers from which the calls were made to the actor belonged to Pakistan. "A non-cognisable case has been lodged against an unidentified person for threatening her of dire consequences if she continues to work in `Mahi Mahi`, shooting of which is under way," Assistant Police Commissioner, Dilip Suryavanshi, told PTI. "She was told to withdraw from the movie in which she is playing the lead role," he said. Last night, the actor approached the police and lodged a complaint at Oshiwara police station, he added.
