Good samaritan Farhan Akhtar splurges on charity!

Mumbai, April 21: The multitalented Farhan Akhtar is a lot more than directing, acting, singing and hosting TV shows! The suave actor was recently spotted at a charitable campaign to build a school for special children in Mumbai. Farhan was endorsing Sadhna School’s ‘Brick By Brick’ campaign. This initiative is directed to build extra floors of the school for children with special needs – by supporting bricks at Rs 5,000 each. When asked Farhan on his good samaritan act, the actor quipped, “The first thing I can do to help is to buy a number of bricks myself.” News has it that the versatile actor has been roped in by Sudhir Mishra for lead role in his version of ‘Devdas’ along with actresses Chitrangada Singh and Kareena Kapoor. Nonetheless, it’s a thriller opposite leggy Deepika Padukone, which is keeping Farhan busy these days as, “‘Karthik Calling Karthik’ is a psychological thriller. It is very different from the films I have been doing and I`m really enjoying myself. Deepika is amazing in the movie and I`ve had a great time shooting with her.” With IPL 2 being the current flavour of season, Farhan Akhtar is too cheering for his favourite cricketers. Speaking to a news daily, the dishy actor said, “I`m not supporting nay team in particular but I love Sachin. If he was playing in his building also I would be there to support him. So I really wish he comes back a winner.” It seems Sachin has found another fan in Farhan Akhtar!
