Los Angeles: She shot to fame at the age of 15 with the controversial advertisement for Calvin Klein jeans and three decades and two children later, model actress. Brooke Shields claims that the pants still fit.
The 45-year old talked to Ellen DeGeneres on her chat show about the 1980 television commercial which saw her dressed in a pair of dark wash, straight leg jeans and an unbuttoned man`s shirt. The young model whistles `My Darling Clementine` before suggestively announcing, "You want to know what comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing." The `Blue Lagoon` actress said that she struggled to get into the tight jeans and did not like the way she looked in them. "I got them zipped up. They didn`t look pretty but they fit. They were so high. I looked like a sausage in them," he said. Regardless of how they looked, the ad helped the Calvin Klein brand rise to superstar status. Since then, Brooke has had a successful modelling and acting career, starring in over 60 films and television shows. She is currently in rehearsals for a new play ` A Leap Of Faith`, which is a stage adaptation of the 1992 film drama of the same name starring Steve Martin. PTI
