I should never have gone to jail, says LiLo

London: After numerous stints in jail over the last few years, Lindsay Lohan feels that she has been treated harshly by the American legal system.

Lohan, who was last behind bars in 2010, is adamant she should never have been forced to go to prison because she is not a violent offender. "Unless you``re a killer, I don``t see a reason to stay there. I never hurt anyone but myself,” the Daily Express quoted her as telling Italy’s Vanity Fair magazine. She also blames her early fame as a child star for her past bad behaviour, as she was too young and naive to appreciate her success, adding, "I think that being young and in the position that I was in you don``t really take the time to appreciate what you have. It was all a whirlwind but I``m not a kid anymore, I``m 24 and I``ve made a lot of mistakes but I feel like if I can just stay focused I can achieve what I want to achieve." ANI
