The actor was removed from an American Airlines plane bound for the Big Apple after he ignored a steward’s pleas to turn off his cell phone as the crew prepared for take-off. Although, Baldwin apologised to his fellow passengers, but later, mocked the incident on US comedy show Saturday Night Live, prompting American Airlines staff to ask bosses to ban him from all of the company’s flights. Now, chiefs at Big Apple retailer Wegmans Food Markets, who hired the star to front a commercial to promote the store, have decided to cut all ties with him after receiving various complaints from customers. “We had perhaps a couple of dozen complaints, and we take complaints from our customers seriously... We enjoyed working with Mr. Baldwin, but under the circumstances we thought it best to discontinue the ads,” the Daily Express quoted a spokesperson for Wegmans as telling the Democrat and Chronicle. Baldwin was hired to star in the commercial after revealing his mother regularly shops at the store. ANI
