London: Singer Katy Perry`s father has praised her new husband Russell Brand, saying he couldn`t have wished for a better son-in-law.

"I could not have wished for a better son-in-law in Russell. He makes my girl so happy. She`s so happy and he makes her light up. They`re going to be just fine," a website quoted Perry`s dad as saying. The couple got engaged last December after a whirlwind three-month romance and tied the knot at the luxury Aman-i-Khas resort in Rajasthan, India, last month. IANS
