Mumbai: Amidst the controversy been created over the content of his film ‘Vishwaroopam’, actor Kamal Haasan voiced his angst during the press conference after the premiere of the Hindi version of the film releasing tomorrow and also thanked his fans, the press and Bollywood for supporting him relentlessly. In his statements Kamal said, “I thank the Chief Minister. I am grateful to her. She has been kind enough to offer her help... Now that she has helped us why should we go (to the Supreme Court)." He further said, “If there are good Muslims they are Indian Muslims. If they are bad, they are terrorists. Why should I pay terror white? Islam is not targeting me. It is politics, it is not religion. This incident was upsetting and downright insulting. Don`t want any of us to face such problems in future. I am not alone in the fight. I have received a lot of support from Muslim community and film fraternity. It is a request to India, my Muslim and Jain brothers that we have a lot more work to do. For me there is no religion, I am a rational.” Haasan also said that his statement about leaving the country was an emotional outburst and he does not intent to leave India. He went on to thank his Muslim brethren and all those people who extended their support to him throughout the controversy. “It was very arrogant of me to say I was standing alone. I am not alone in the fight, and I got lot of support from Muslim community, the media and the film fraternity. As far as my Muslim friends go, in all this trial, when they came & read their duas & asked me to forgive them, I was moved. I don`t pretend to love Indian Muslims, I really love them. You will see that when you watch my movie,” said the veteran actor.
