New Delhi: Siddharth has been approached to play the annual Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) for three state teams, but a shoulder injury has held back the actor from taking up any offer.
"Got a call from Salman bhai`s (Salman Khan) Mumbai Heroes to play for them in CCL next year. Would have loved to, but for the shoulder... 2014," Siddharth tweeted.
"Have now been asked by Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai to play in CCL. It is a lovely feeling to work in different languages as an actor… nice," he added.
However, the actor assures there is no permanent damage to his shoulder.
"No permanent damage to the shoulder. Just a few months of rehab and nothing silly is what the doctors have advised. Thanks for the love," he said.
The 20-20 cricket tournament has teams not only from Hindi cinema, but also Telugu, Kannada, Bengali and Tamil cinema. Two new teams involving Bhojpuri and Marathi film industries have been introduced in the tournament to be held in 2013.
