We are humbled by the greatness of God: Aamir

Mumbai: The very talented husband-wife duo, Aamir Khan-Kiran Rao feel blissful at the moment and can’t stop thanking God for blessing them with a healthy baby boy through a surrogate mother. The Bollywood superstar had kept the news of the arrival of his baby under wraps initially. However, Aamir was prompt enough to address the media his own way on Monday. The perfectionist star sent chocolate boxes hand-delivered by his representatives and an official personlaised letter to all media organisations expressing his happiness and gratitude to God. The statement read, “It gives us the greatest joy to share with you the good news of the birth of our baby boy. This baby is especially dear to us because he was born to us after a long wait and some difficulty. Due to medical complications, we were advised to have a baby through IVF-Surrogacy, and we feel very grateful to the Almighty that all has gone well.” It added, “We are humbled by the greatness of God, the miracles of science and the kindness and love of our families and friends in being there for us while respecting our privacy. We seek your good wishes and blessings for our child.” The baby was born on December 1 at a private clinic in Bandra, Mumbai through surrogacy. Aamir and Kiran entered matrimony in December 2005 and were planning a family since then. However, in 2009, Kiran suffered miscarriage that led to severe complications. The baby is Aamir’s third child. He has a son named Junaid, and daughter named Ira from his first wife Reena Dutta.
