Oprah Winfrey rents out Chicago apartment

London: Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey has put her luxury USD 5.6 million Chicago apartment up for rent for USD 15,000 a month.

Winfrey, 57, who bought the sixth floor luxury apartment in the 1913 Beaux Arts building in the Gold Coast neighbourhood 2006, has never moved in because of security concerns and has now decided to let it to tenants, Femalefirst reported. The stunning 4,607 square foot residence - which she attempted to sell for USD 6 million in 2008 - includes a grand foyer, inner foyer, living room, formal dining room, laundry room, butler`s pantry, solarium, wine room, gourmet kitchen, three bedrooms, four bathrooms and a two-car garage. The new tenants can also enjoy stunning views of Lake Michigan from the library, living room and master bedroom, which has 10 foot ceilings. Winfrey, who is returning to TV next year with a new chat show to pump some life into her ailing OWN network, has made USD 290 million between May 2010 and May 2011 to top Forbes` Highest Earning Hollywood Women list.
