New Delhi: From the time Sonakshi Sinha stepped in Bollywood with her first film ‘Dabangg’, she has always been compared to the yesteryear actress Reena Roy in terms of her looks. And why not, after all, Reena Roy’s link up with Sona’s father Shatrughan Sinha was a big talk of B-Town at some point of time in the past.
But Reena Roy, who now lives with her daughter Sanam post separating with her husband and Pakistani cricketer Mohsin Khan, completely disagrees with the ‘rumours’ floating around that Sonakshi is her lookalike. In fact, in an interview to a daily, Reena tried clearing the air by saying that Sonakshi looks like her mother Poonam Sinha contrary to the speculations.
Not just that, she reasoned by adding that perhaps actor Salman Khan has given a very typical Indian look to Sona in ‘Dabangg’, and that is why comparisons are being drawn. Reena finished talking on the subject by saying, “When I did ‘Zakhmee’, I was called Asha Parekh and Nasir Hussain`s daughter. Film industry mein toh yeh silsila chalte rehta hai. Kuch din baad khatam ho jaata hai.”
