Matt Damon is an `overprotective` dad

London: Matt Damon`s wife calls him Red Alert, but the actor couldn`t care less about the nickname and candidly says that he is "overprotective" about his daughters.

"I`m probably more protective than I`ve ever been now that I have children. My wife`s nickname for me is Red Alert - I sometimes just check to see if the kids are breathing," thesun.co.uk quoted Damon as saying. The "Bourne" trilogy star admits he remains quite paranoid about his girls - Isabella, 5, Gia, 3, and 10-month-old Stella - as well as his wife Luciana`s daughter Alexis from her previous marriage. "But I think there`s a tendency to be a little bit overprotective without trying to be a `helicopter parent`. I remember after the last big LA earthquake I put the flashlight by my bed for like two weeks," said Damon. IANS
