Eddie Murphy too lazy to do stand-up comedy

Eddie Murphy says he is hesitant to make his stand-up comedy comeback because preparing a brand new act for the stage is time-consuming.

London: Funnyman Eddie Murphy says he is hesitant to make his stand-up comedy comeback because preparing a brand new act for the stage is time-consuming.
The 50-year-old began his career in show business on the stand-up circuit and is regularly ranked among the top 10 greatest comics of all time. The `Shrek` star has not performed live for several years and Murphy admits he is simply too lazy to put in all the hard work. "I`m not nervous. You know what it is? It takes a year-and-a-half to a year to get an act together and I`m more lazy than nervous. But it takes a year and a half of going to the comedy clubs and test the material," Murphy said. PTI
