Washington: Beyonce and her husband Jay Z will help raise funds for Obama Campaign by holding a dinner for the President in New York City in New York City next week.
Confirming the news to the New York Daily News, the Obama team said that the fundraising dinner would be held at Jay Z’s swanky Chelsea hotspot the 40/40 Club, Contactmusic reported. Beyonce has also urged supporters to contribute 25 dollars to the President’s re-election campaign. “I’ve had the honor of meeting President Obama and the First Lady a few times — and believe me — it’s an opportunity you don’t want to miss…We believe in his vision… share his belief that we’re greater together and that’s why we’re getting involved,” Contactmusic quoted Beyonce as saying in a message. However, it is not the first time the singers have helped Obama. In 2008, Beyonce famously sang for the newly elected President at an Inaugural Ball, while Jay Z and pal Kanye West often show their support for Obama. ANI
