When Perry hung around with Shyamalan`s lookalike

Former "Friends" star Matthew Perry was once left red-faced after spending a whole evening talking to director M Night Shyamalan before realising the man was a lookalike.

London, April 21: Former "Friends" star Matthew Perry was once left red-faced after spending a whole evening talking to director M Night Shyamalan before realising the man was a lookalike.
Contactmusic.com reports that Perry struck up a friendship with the Shyamalan doppelganger during a party and started putting forth prospects of working with the director before he realised his mistake and bailed on the double. "I was out at this place in Hollywood and M. Night Shyamalan walked up and said hello. I was like, `Oh my God, come sit down, please join us`. We sat there for a few minutes and everybody sort of filtered out and it was just me and M. Night Shyamalan. Pretty great, great guy, very talented," said Perry. "We talked for a little while, and then I started to realise, you know, he likes me...We go to the next place, we`re hanging out...He goes to the bathroom, he comes back, and then... I realise it`s not M. Night Shyamalan. It`s just an Indian guy who looks a lot like M. Night Shyamalan! I hightailed it out of there. I felt dirty," he added. Perry is still embarrassed by his case of mistaken identity and is reminded of it every time he runs into the unnamed man. "The problem is, I see this guy out, now, and we look at each other like jilted lovers," he said. IANS
