Halle Berry cancels daughter`s meeting with Poitier

Los Angeles: Halle Berry was forced to postpone a planned meeting between daughter Nahla and her screen idol Sidney Poitier after paparazzi scared away the two-year-old.

The `Monster`s Ball` star arranged to spend time with fellow Oscar winner Poitier earlier this month as part of a photo shoot and interview and she thought it would be nice for her young daughter to meet the man who had meant so much to her growing up. But when photographers learned about the secret meeting and showed up outside Poitier`s Beverly Hills home, they terrified the toddler and she had to be led away in tears by a nanny, The Hollywood Reporter said. "Sidney is part of our history. He`s a legend, and one day I knew she (Nahla) would thank me for allowing her to be in his presence. "I was supposed to come over for Thanksgiving this year... I have to bring my daughter back. She has to have this experience," said Berry. PTI
