Washington: Casper Smart, 24, who is dating 42-year-old Jennifer Lopez, took to this Twitter account to defend the couple’s age difference.

Smart does not mention the ‘American Idol’ judge by name while posting his message on the micro blogging site. “Age, status, n opinions of others are irrelevant,” People Magazine quoted him as writing. “Our hearts are endless and our souls infinite. “Ages are mere reminders of the hours logged on this earth and the precious time remaining,” Smart goes on to say that everyone should indulge in their “passion and dreams.” “Close your ears and open your hearts; Love and be happy,” he wrote.
