CollabNet ties up with Mahindra IT
Hyderabad: US-based software developer CollabNet on Thursday said it has partnered with Mahindra Satyam and Tech Mahindra to jointly develop and deliver Enterprise Cloud Development, Agile and DevOps solutions in the cloud services space.

Mahindra Satyam and Tech Mahindra (referred to as Mahindra IT) will work together with CollabNet under the agreement, according to a press release issued by CollabNet.

As per the alliance, Mahindra IT will resell CollabNet's TeamForge and CloudForge products and services, as-well-as its Agile training services throughout Asia, the release said.

Quoting Gartner, the release said the total public cloud services market is expected to cross USD 237 billion by 2017.

Hari T, Mahindra Satyam's Head - Business Value Enhancement Group, said software development and deployment moving to the cloud within larger IT organisations provides a compelling case to have a technology partner, who is a leading player in cloud-based development initiatives.

"CollabNet and its TeamForge platform provide the basis for Mahindra IT to offer a clear path to Agile and DevOps practices in the cloud - that is both open and flexible - yet meets the requirements of the most demanding of enterprises," Hari said.

CollabNet co-founder and CEO Bill Portelli said partnering with a world-class technology leader like Mahindra IT will benefit both new and existing customers, as both the firms jointly develop technical and service offerings based on deep experience and knowledge of emerging enterprise software development trends.

"Mahindra shares our vision for Enterprise Cloud Development and how larger IT organisations can leverage the benefits of the cloud to develop and deploy quality software faster," Bill Portelli said.

CollabNet said it has more than 10,000 global customers, and the company provides a development platform and services to address three major trends disrupting the software industry - Agile, DevOps and hybrid cloud development.
