London: Life has taken a positive course for music mogul Simon Cowell ever since he has turned 50.

The musician feels his professional as well as personal lives are better now than ever. He got engaged to his girlfriend earlier this year, and also has plans to launch his talent show "The X Factor" on US television, reports contactmusic.com. "Has this been my happiest year? Yes it has. When you hit 50, you realise what you want to do with your life. Do you slow down or carry on? I`ve made the decision to carry on. I`m having a good time," said Cowell. "I like the fact that people are still interested in our shows. They are great fun to work on. It`s the best feeling in the world," he added. Cowell likes to keep himself busy, but is also taking time out to enjoy himself. "Being with my friends makes me relax. I`m taking more holidays than I used to. But it`s my choice whether I work hard and I still like my work and I do work hard," he said. The TV talent show judge has even discovered a new hobby - cooking. "I have started to cook. I am not very good but I enjoy it." IANS
