Bollywood actor-filmmaker Sujit Kumar passes away

Mumbai: Veteran actor-producer Sujit Kumar, who worked in superhit Hindi films like `Aradhana`, `The Burning Train` and `Aankhen`, passed away this morning. He was 75 and is survived by son Jatin Kumar and daughter Henna.

The actor who was the first superstar of Bhojpuri cinema in his heydays, was also a well-known producer with mega films like `Khel` (starring Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit), `Champion`(Sunny Deol, Manisha Koirala) and `Aetbaar` (Amitabh Bachchan,John Abraham, Bipasha Basu) to his credit. A chautha ceremony (condolence meeting) will take place on Monday, family sources said. PTI
