London, June 15: While Paris Hilton refused to join Christiano Ronaldo in Vegas and flew off to Dubai, the love-struck footballer is all set for a long-distance fling with the hotel heiress.
The multimillionaire socialite headed off to record a TV series, leaving the midfielder to party with a bevy of girls.
Although Ronldo was pictured with a host of beauties in Vegas, he has insisted that he will stay faithful to Paris.
And this is despite his mum refusing to approve the relationship, reveal his pals.
"He`s really taken by Paris, it could be something big," the Daily Star quoted a source close to Ronaldo as saying.
"She`s got to go to Dubai with work, and that`s probably a good thing to be honest. It will test how serious they are about each other.
"There`s a feeling that neither needs the other one`s money, which is a breath of fresh air for the pair of them - they`re normally on the lookout for gold-diggers.
"They`ve pledged to keep in touch, and have been texting each other all the time.
"Fortunately Paris knows all about the paparazzi, so she understands that every time Cristiano is pictured with another girl, he`s not being unfaithful. It will be very interesting to see how it all pans out," the source added.
The pair hooked up last Wednesday (June 10) after the news of Ronaldo`s world-record 80million-pound move to Real Madrid first broke, and they spent a second night together 24 hours later.
Paris reportedly told her pals that she thought Ronaldo was "red hot" and couldn`t wait to get to grips with him again soon.
Meanwhile, he continued partying in Las Vegas, heading to XS nightclub with his entourage of pals and relatives.
But onlookers have said that even though the player enjoyed drinking and dancing with the girls, he remains faithful to Paris.
Among Ronaldo`s relatives in Vegas is his mother Dolores Averio, 57, who flew out late last week to help him celebrate his world record transfer move, which is almost certain to go through later this month.
However, sources have revealed that she disapproves of Paris, who, in her opinion, is not good enough for her boy.
A friend said: "She`s not every mother`s ideal daughter-in-law. She`s not too happy with Cristiano falling for her, but she knows he`s a grown man so will let him make his own mistakes."
