New Delhi: Carat is a free application which would keep you updated on your phone battery usage and gives personalized recommendations for improving the battery life . 

The app observes the battery usage of your device for around a week and then generate reports as per your phones's battery consumption.

The best part is that Carat does not use GPS, and doe not run in the background. It uses almost no power.

It will tell you that whether the battery usage of your mobile phone is normal. If not, then it guides you how to plug the drain.

Carat helps you choose applications carefully, the one's which do not drain the battery. It even compares your battery lifetime to other users with the similar profile as that of your phone.

Now, carat has come out in updated version which follows the latest application design guidelines, and helps in presenting battery information in a more intuitive and easy to use manner.

The updated carat app has better support for new versions of the Android operating system, including Android 5.0 and 6.0.

It can be downloaded in Google Play for most Android devices, and the iOS version will be soon published for iOS devices in the App Store.
