Priyanka battles eye infection

Mumbai: While trying to keep pace with her hectic work schedule, ‘Kaminey’ star Priyanka Chopra recently had a severe eye infection, just hours before she flew to New York during the early hours of Saturday for the shoot schedule of ‘Anjaana Anjaani.’ According to the latest Bollywood news, the actress was busy with her photo shoot, when her eyes turned red. Though Priyanka continued the shoot, but when the conditions worsened, the actress immediately contacted her eye surgeon Dr Himanshu Mehta, who prescribed some eye drops for momentary relief. After wrapping up the photo shoot, Priyanka made a dash to Dr Mehta`s private clinic at Juhu Scheme at 7:30 pm. Talking to a news daily, the eye surgeon confirms, "Yes, Priyanka did visit my clinic on Friday. She was suffering from an infection which needed immediate attention as she was travelling later in the night." However, post a complete eye check-up, Dr Mehta’s prescribed medicines brought immediate relief to the actress, only after which the actress was able to board her midnight flight.
