New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is known to have invested in various properties in Dubai but latest report suggest that his housing project, Royal Estates, has begun and that the contractor is on site.
As per Emirates24/7, the work on Shah Rukh Khan-promoted Dh2.3-billion Royal Estates in Dubai has finally begun.
The Royal Estates will be an affordable housing project, the report said.
Emirates24/7 reports that Texture Group, the current owner, has awarded the first construction contract to Armada Contracting for townhouses in the massive development coming up in Dubai Investment Park.
“Work has started on the overall project and the contractor is on site,” Texture Group General Manager Shahid Rasheed told Emirates 24|7.
The construction company plans to complete 350 townhouses by the third quarter of 2017 and over 2,500 apartments by the end of the year.
Royal Estates was launched in 2008 but was put on hold due to global financial crisis. It was re-launched in August 2014.
Shah Rukh Khan's wife Gauri Khan will design the interiors, the report said.
