Deepika is not a friend but a mere acquaintance, says Sonam

Mumbai: They might have got along like a house on fire and taken nasty jibes at Ranbir Kapoor, but Deepika Padukone is just a mere acquaintance to Sonam Kapoor. The two beauties, who giggled and chatted like best pals on Karan Johar’s show ‘Koffee with Karan’, don’t share a very close relationship in real. “Deepika and I were never friends. It was just instant chemistry on the show, “said Sonam. Ever since the two appeared on KJo’s show, there have been reports that they are the best of pals. But Sonam has trashed all such reports as she told a daily, “We have not kept in touch since then. Right now, I am in Chandigarh shooting for ‘Mausam’, and god only knows where she is.” Sonam is shooting with actor Shahid Kapoor for his home production ‘Mausam’. Talking about Shahid, Sonam said, “Shahid is a Delhi boy settled in Mumbai, and he has taken the best from both the cities.” The actress further added that she joined Bollywood with a “bucket list of what i will not do”. One of her main commandments is that she will never dance at a wedding for money. “I can’t do it. I don’t judge actors who do, but I can never do it,” she said.
