Reality TV star Greg Plitt dies in train accident

Model-actor Greg Plitt, who appeared on reality series 'Work Out', has died after he got struck by a Metrolink train in Burbank. He was 37.

Los Angeles: Model-actor Greg Plitt, who appeared on reality series 'Work Out', has died after he got struck by a Metrolink train in Burbank. He was 37.

Plitt, who was also a fitness instructor, died on Saturday afternoon, reported Deadline.

Plitt starred on Bravo's 'Work Out' between 2006 and 2008, and was in another just-premiered reality show for the network, 'Friends to Lovers,' with his long-time friend, the fitness star Melanie Marden.

According to police, Plitt and several friends were apparently shooting video at the train station by Burbank airport, when the accident happened.

Plitt had a number of acting roles, most notably in the 2013 boxing film 'Grudge Match', 'The Good Shepherd' and 'Terminator Salvation'. He also appeared as himself on the reality show 'Designed to Sell', and in three episodes of 'Days of Our Lives'.

He recorded commercials for Under Armour and Gold's Gym, and worked as a model for Calvin Klein, Thierry Mugler and Under Armour among other brands and media outlets.
