Priyanka Chopra to play Ranveer Singh’s elder sister?

Zoya Akhtar has now reportedly approached Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh for the same. Reportedly, Priyanka is to play Ranveer’s elder sister.

New Delhi: Zoya Akhtar, whose original plan to rope in Ranbir and Kareena Kapoor for a brother-sister role for her next project went kaput, has now reportedly approached Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh for the same. Reportedly, Priyanka is to play Ranveer’s elder sister. According to a leading daily, Akhtar initially wanted real life first cousins Kareena and Ranbir to play siblings in her movie and everything went fine till a point as both had agreed to the role. However, it was Ranbir who backed out of the project sometime back and Ranveer replaced him. On the other hand, sources have revealed that Kareena also opted out, as she was hesitant about playing Ranveer’s elder sister. "When Zoya began writing the script, she thought of getting Kareena and Ranbir together. Kareena was extremely excited to play Ranbir`s screen sister. But with Ranveer stepping in, she is now having second thoughts," a source said. Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh are also working in a romantic movie-‘Gunday’, which is slated to release on 14th February, 2014.
